Mitchell, Yvonne C. Nana, 78, Went to her Eternal Life after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer on December 22, 2006. Preceded in death by her husband, Patrick F. Mitchell; parents, Lanty and Jane Armstrong; sisters, Melba Welty, Grace Mallard and Rita Reece; granddaughter, Amanda Jane Travis. Survived by daughters, Tammy David Travis, Mary Jack Burns, JoAnn Cookie Warpool; grandchildren, Jason Warpool, Kyle Travis, Mitchell Burns and Brittany Burns; sister-in-law, Mary Mitchell; special friends, John A. and Libby Hobbs; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity and Loaves and Fishes of Holy Name. She was a devoted wife of 51 years, loving mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was watching her grandchildren play sports. Mrs. Mitchell was a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church where a Mass of celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 with Father Philip Breen and Father Joe Pat Breen celebrants. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tony Reece, Tim Reece, Johnny Fox, Jimmy Mitchell, John C. Hobbs and Richard Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be John A. and Libby Hobbs, Carl and Betty Nelms, Bill and Susan Huggins, Dr. Eric Raefsky and special friend's of St. Ann's Parish. The family would like to offer a very special thanks to Dr. Eric Raefsky and Staff at Tennessee Oncology for their devoted compassion and constant dedication to her care, Summitt Medical Center, 6th Floor Staff, your deep devotion and love is greatly appreciated.
