William Yarbrough

YARBROUGH, William Edward went to be with the Lord on Sat. Oct. 22, 2011 at age 69. He was born on Sept. 23, 1942 in Nashville, TN. He was the son of the late Verner H. Yarbrough, Sr. and the late Dorothy Dietz Yarbrough. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Y. Lackey Norm of Nashville, and his brother, Verner Herbert Yarbrough, Jr. Mary of Little Rock, AR., nieces, nephews and cousins. He never married nor had children but he loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews, Annette B. Raymer David of Spring Hill, TN, Nathan L. Bass Kristi of Madison, TN, Jeanne Joyner Harold, Carol Tennyson Chuck, Herbert Yarbrough Patty, John Yarbrough Emily and Mark Yarbrough all of Little Rock, AR. He was special to 6 great nieces and nephews as well and gave nick names to many of them; Brooke Anderson, Jacob & Rebekah Bass, Jonathan & Jason Joyner and Joshua Tennyson. Ed graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended UT Knoxville. He had a head injury in a car accident when he was 20 and had an assortment of jobs during his life time. Due to being unable to walk, he has resided at Trevecca Health Care since Jan. 2010. We do thank them for their care and love. Ed had many friends during his life due to his unusual sense of humor and his obvious love of people. He was a long time member of St. Paul Southern Methodist Church and in the choir and the Friendship Sunday School Class. He was in a Conservative Group. He loved the Lord, his family, TN VOL football, trains, crossword puzzles, plants and music. Pall bearers are his nephews and friends. In .lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International, West Camp, P O Box 120402, Nashville Tn 37212. Funeral service will be on Tues. Oct. 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald R. Carrier officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
