Funeral services for William Randall (Randy) Tatum, 76 of Gallatin, TN, are Friday, November 10, at 1:00 pm, at Crestview Funeral Home, in Gallatin.

Randy passed away November 6, 2023 at home.

Born on May, 23, 1947, in Nashville, TN, Randy spent more than 30 years working as a Civil Engineer; with most of those years with Ragan Smith Associates, in Nashville, in land development. He then turned an avid hobby of genealogy into a second career with the Sumner County Archives. 

He is a graduate of Donelson High School and Tennessee Tech University.

Randy loved his life in the country, having grown up working with his grandfather on the family farm outside of Donelson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Edna Mae Tatum.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl (Cheri) Tatum; two sons, Rusty (Lacy) Tatum and Chris (Sarah) Tatum; eight grandchildren, Anna, Noelle, Cate, Noah, Grayson, Rosie, Jacob and Alec; two brothers, Ken (Diane) Tatum and Alan (Susan) Tatum; one niece and five nephews.

Pallbearers are Dan Tatum, Brad Tatum, Austin Tatum, Andy Tatum, Chuck Kincheloe, Bruce Hite, Charlie Lowe and Barry Tatum. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Ben Alexander Sunday School Class from Hendersonville First United Methodist Church.
