William Alan Duncan, age 66, of Gallatin, passed away on January 12, 2021. He was born in Puducah KY on January 23, 1954 to Mrs. Betty Holt Duncan and the late William Collier Duncan.
Alan loved God and was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ. He loved his family, and taught his nieces and nephews about how magnets worked, gravity and how to play chess. He also passed down his love of physics, chemistry, and logic to them.
He loved listening to music, learning and kept up with all the news. He enjoyed watching the news, history, and nature shows. He also enjoyed spending time with friends in the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and the Enrichment Center.
Alan loved restoring old family videos and music. He followed in his dad's footsteps of loving to tell jokes and to keep people laughing. He was also an Eagle Scout when he was younger.
Alan is survived by his mother, Betty Holt Duncan; sister, Debra Duncan Woodward (Richard); nieces and nephews, Jeremy Woodward, Stephanie Woodward Engdahl (Ryan), and Brian Woodward; great nieces and nephews, Cody Wade, Matthew Lopez, Alexia Woodward, Rose Woodward, and Jason Woodward.
A life celebration will be held at 1pm, Saturday, January 16th at Crestview Funeral Home with burial in Crestview Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm Friday evening.
Family asks that in lieu of flower donations be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
