William Burton

Mr. William "Bill" Burton, age 79, of Cottontown, passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 31, 2020. He was born on April 28, 1941 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Travis and Elizabeth Burton. He Is also preceded in death by one sister, Mellie Jane Horton; and two brothers, Travis Burton and Roger Burton.

Bill loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He could always be found outside fishing, hunting, or camping. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will be truly missed.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Sarah Jane Burton; children, Billy (Michele) Burton and Kerry (Donnie) Wood; grandchildren, Amy, Jessica, Autumn, Teri, Adam, and Eric; 11 great grandchildren, and one brother, Bob (Jane) Burton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Burton, Mike Burton, Austin Harris, Mike Barton, Lexton Sutton, Mitchell Horton, Aaron Burton, and Blake Hunter. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Porter, Rylan Harris, Donnie Wood, Adam Womac, Eric Womac, Wayne Horton, Johnny Burton and Joey Sutton.
