Susan Stevens

STEVENS, Susan Elaine age 62, died in Nashville, TN, on Friday, October 23rd, 2009.
Born September 27, 1947, in Patuxent River, MD. She attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she received a degree in mathematics. After moving to Nashville in 1969, she worked as a systems analyst for over 30 years including positions with the State of Tennessee and McGraw Hill. Susan volunteered with the homeless, fostered children, fostered and adopted animals, and was an avid gardener and seamstress. Susan loved her family, often surprising her nieces and nephews with gifts. She was bright, kind, caring, and generous and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include son, Daniel P. Stevens; parents, Paul F. and Joyce R. Stevens; brothers, Greg Tracy and Paul D. KayeGreg Stevens Tracy Stevens; two nephews, two nieces, one great nephew, and four great nieces. Visitation will be held Monday, October 26th 4-6pm and Tuesday, 10-11am with a memorial service to follow at 11am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3701 Hillsboro Road, Nashville, TN.
