It is with grief filled hearts, that the family of Sherri Lynn Gentry, announce her passing on May 9th 2020, at the age of 64, from a brain aneurysm.

She was born in Nashville, TN and was a graduate of John Overton High School, where she was a superb athlete. Her first major job was with the phone company. She then went on to work and, eventually retire from Nissan, in Smyrna, TN. While employed there she earned her Bachelors' Degree in Business Management, and there, her hard work garnered her many promotions, with her working her last few years there in charge of their GREEN Recycling Program. She went on to author an online book, titled Mindful Manufacturing which is a combination of lean manufacturing and sustainable thinking, and was the president of a company by the same name, in which she did consulting.

She was and still is a bright and shining star. Whatever she set her mind to do, she excelled at. She had a heart for helping people and bringing them together. She also had a heart for animals, which is evidenced by her many dogs, cats, goats, chickens, turkeys, and anything she found that needed nursing back to health. She did good!

She was preceded in death, by her grandparents, Louis and Mildred Robeson, Lonnie and Pearl Gentry, and her father, Patrick Wells Gentry. She is survived by her mother Barbara Jean Gentry (Robeson), sisters, Terri Gentry and Cindy Hancock, (bro Mike Sutton), her loving partner Donald Chaffin, stepmother Linda Gentry, nephew Wesley Winslett, niece Shelby Johnson (Will), and her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Due to Covid-19, her memorial/Celebration of Life service is TBD, with an announcement to be made by the family once it's safe. At that time we will give her the honor she so deserves.
