Ronald W. Whited, Sr., age 82 of Portland, passed away February 14, 2019. Mr. Whited was born in Madison, TN on April 13, 1936 to the late Albert Whited and the late Lillie Massey Whited. He was a graduate of Goodlettsville High School and Middle Tennessee State University; he served in the U.S. Army; later worked at Dupont and then was part owner of Ozburn Hessey. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. Mr. Whited was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Ronald Wayne Whited, Jr. and Kimberly Whited Wilson; siblings, Edward, Earl, Carl, and Herman Whited, and Velda Bell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Whited; daughter, Stephanie Hannah; grandchildren, Megan Turner, Erik Whited, and Cayce Wilson; siblings, Burton Whited, Albert Whited, Jr., Danny Whited, and Brenda Martin; several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 18th at 11:00 A.M. in the Rose Section of Crestview Memory Gardens with his brother, Burton Whited officiating. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time to leave for the cemetery.
