Robert Audry Mitchell, age 83, of Gallatin, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Katherine Mitchell (Robertson), son, Ralph Mitchell, brother, Delmer Mitchell and sister, Annie Dee Wilson. He is survived by his loving children, Thomas Mitchell (Elizabeth), Sissy McDuffee (Mike) and sisters, Lila Pryor and Dorothy Cribb. Cherished grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Robert is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Robert enjoyed golf, reading and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and by all those that knew him.

Pallbearers will be Mitch McDuffee, Brandon McDuffee, Andy McDuffee, Russel Hufford, Nathan Mitchell Pryor and Charlie Hesson.

Life celebration for Robert will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, 1623 Highway 109 North, in Gallatin, TN on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM followed by burial. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29th from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, one hour prior to service.
