Mr. Richard B. Goodwin, 74, of Gallatin, TN passed away on May 4, 2018 at NHC place in Gallatin. He was born on January 23, 1944 in New Albany, MS to the late James and Leone Goodwin. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Goodwin.

Richard was an avid lover of bluegrass music. Throughout the years, he self-taught himself to play eight different instruments. Some of his favorite bluegrass artist were Rhonda Vincent, Bill Monroe, and Ricky Scaggs. Richard served five years in the United States Air Force as a Captain. He was also a very good handy man, and loved doing wood work. He met the love of his life; Mrs. Dawn Cannon Goodwin, and they were happily married for 50 years. He was truly an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend who will be truly missed.

Richard is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters, Kimberly (Andrew) Carter and Amy (Michael) Reed; grandchildren, Laree, Andrew Jr., Morgan, and Mason; brother, James Goodwin.

A life celebration will be held at 1pm, Saturday, May 12th at Crestview Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Friday and again from 11-1pm prior to the service on Saturday. Crestview Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
