Mrs. Patricia Josephine (Girard) Yelverton, 89 of Lebanon, TN, passed away peacefully, after a battle with cancer, on Friday April 14th, 2023 with her two daughters by her side. Patricia was born on March 19, 1934 to the late Beatrice (Beaulieu) and Ludger Girard. She was a kind, determined, funny and often sassy woman who loved the Boston Redsox, Notre Dame football, watching Wheel of Fortune and eating a good "lobstah" roll.
She wore many hats in her life including taxi cab driver and factory worker to pizza maker in Salem, Massachusetts, where she was born and raised. Perhaps her most prized roles were that of wife of 46 years to her late husband, James Francis Yelverton, mother to Giovanna (Cracchiolo) Mysliwy of Peabody, MA and Beatrice (Pelletier) LaChance with whom she resided and "Memere" to her grandchildren, Melanie (Tony) Velleco of Marblehead, MA, Amy (Derek) Dobbs of Gallatin, TN, Matthew (Kayla) LaChance of Burns, TN and Amanda (Cailsey) LaChance of Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by her grandson Owen E. Mysliwy.
Patricia was also Grandmemere to Owen M Mysliwy, Revo Velleco, Lillian Jane (LJ) Dobbs, Josephine Beatrice Dobbs, Tucker James LaChance and Emma Jean LaChance, who brought a smile to her face each time she saw them. In addition she was an aunt, cousin, godmother or faithful friend and brought joy to the many people in her life.
At the request of the family, services will be private and Patricia and James will be laid to rest back home in Massachusetts on the anniversary of their marriage. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
