Dana Cunningham, age 76, of Lafayette, Tennessee, entered into rest on August 23, 2024.
He was born on October 2, 1947, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, to his parents Othel and Pauline Cunningham. Dana served in the United States Airforce. Following his military service, he worked as a correctional officer in Nashville, Tennessee for over 20 years. He loved to watch Andy Griffith and Gun Smoke. He was a father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be sorely missed.
Othel O’Dana Cunningham Jr. is survived by his sons, Joe Cunningham(Cynthia), Doug Cunningham; daughter, Dreama Cayce; grandchildren, Julie Cunningham, Clark Cunningham, Matthew Cayce; sisters, Coleen Cunningham, Marilyn Cunningham, Karen Cunningham; and brothers, Jimmy Joe Cunningham, and Alan Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Altman) Cunningham; father, Othel O’Dana Cunningham Sr.; mother, Pauline (Wolf) Cunningham.
A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery (located: 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN, 37221). Chaplain Ron Ullrich will be officiating.
