Opal "Granny" Swafford, age 84 of Gallatin, passed away, March 13, 2014. Mrs. Swafford was a strong willed, loving woman that stood as the rock of her family. She enjoyed a good cross world puzzle and reading her bible. She was a Christian woman that attended church at Lambuth Memorial Methodist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George T. Swafford; parents, Jessie Blunkall and Frank Roberts; sisters, Jewell Ballentine & Frankie Akins. Survived by her daughters; Mary Ann Corlew (Ronald) of Gallatin, Georgia Dean Adams (Sam) of Madison, Nancy Lee Corlew of Gallatin, Jeannie Garrett (Donald) of Nashville; 9 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Jenkins of Ocala, FL

A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Monday, March 17th at Crestview Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
