Nora Eunice Borders, of Gallatin, TN passed away October 24, 2016.
Eunice was a long-time member of Providence General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was part of the Ladies Aid. She was a talented seamstress beginning at General Shoe and then Texas Boot Factory and later making curtains for some of Nashville's Country Music stars. She will best be remembered for her wonderful Christian spirit and her compassion to help anyone in need. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all that were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Eunice was born on December 1, 1921 to the late Luby and Lula McCormick Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Odell Borders; brother, Grover Brown; sisters, Rosie Mary Brown and Evelyn Brown. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Brown (Bob) of Gallatin, granddaughter, Kimberly Gann (Stuart) of Gallatin, Brothers, Fred Brown of Westmoreland, Coley Brown (Mildred) and Frank Brown (Alice) all of Bethpage, step grandchildren Ricky Brown (Gayle), Debbie Hathaway (Kenny), Dawn Griffin, Teresa McKnight, step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held at Crestview at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Crestview and Thursday, October 27 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Larry Brown, Kerry Brown, Terry Perdue, Doug McIntyre, Joe Bradshaw, Jerry Rippy and Kenny Hathaway.
