Nancy Jean Flynn McClung, died unexpectedly on June 3, 2013 in her Gallatin, Tennessee home. She was born on November 10, 1956 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Vincent and Peggy Hoecker Flynn. She is survived by her beloved children, daughter, Amanda DiCapo Michael; and son, Sean Aring Michelle Haynes; and grandchildren, Gage and Cortlin DiCapo, Dakota Haynes, Jolene and Flynn Aring. Also surviving are her mother of Jacksonville, and four siblings, Linda Tuschinski Dickie of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Jo Llewellyn Roger of Phoenix Arizona, Peggy Bradshaw Skip and Rita Rossi Neil both of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira McClung, her father, a brother Terry Flynn and sisters Marjorie Devlin Richard and Elaine Cooper Terry. Nancy was a graduate of the Routt Catholic High School class in 1974 and Gem City College in Quincy, Illinois. She worked in various clerical jobs and later in medical care services. Nancy enjoyed crafts and sewing, as well as volunteer work. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11-2 p.m. at Crestview Funeral Home, 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested memorials be sent to the Nancy McClung Grandchildren Scholarship fund in care of the funeral home.
