HUFF, Morgan Wynn, born December 3, 1926 in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Huff Indian Head, MD and Marion M. Miller Sykesville, MD, and Nellie E. Herron Nashville, TN and Pamela K. Sullivan Knoxville, TN. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an aviation radioman and received the Pacific and Atlantic Theater ribbons, the Victory Medal and combat air crew insignia. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1950 with a BA in Business Administration, and afterwards began his career in computer technology with the Remington Rand Corp. in California and the new UNIVAC system. In 1959 he and his family moved to Nashville where he was responsible for bringing this new technology to the Life and Casualty Insurance Co. He retired from American General Life Insurance Company as Vice President of Data Processing in 1987 after 30 years of service. In Nashville Mr. Huff was active in the community as a member of Hillwood Country Club, the Sertoma Club, a 32nd degree Mason and member of St. George's Episcopal Church. While living in Lakeland, Florida he was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Stephen's Ministry, and the Prime Time Curtain Players. Mr. Huff is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Evelyn; sister Margery H. Henney Bethesda, MD; brother Roger W. Huff California; children, Lisa H. Eason, Gregory W. Huff, and Kelly H. Parker Mike, Sandra Pharris, Harry Sullivan Marcia, and Larry Sullivan Pam; grandchildren, Rachel E. Webb Corum, Emily Eason, Madaleine Huff, Jennifer Johnson, Richard Johnson IV, Jessica J. Robidou Eric, Benjamin Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Kimberley Parker, Marty Pharris, Melanyee Scott Donny, Harrison Sullivan, Elisabeth Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan, Rebekah Sullivan and Alicia Sullivan; great-grandchildren Megan Scott, Rease Sullivan, Ryleigh Sullivan and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10 am. An inurnment with military honors will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. All visitation and services to be held at HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME 9090 Hwy. 100 Nashville, TN 615-646-9292
