Mary Magalene Wilburn, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away September 6, 2017 at Gallatin Health Care. Mrs. Wilburn was born in the Rocky Mound community of Macon County on November 28, 1930 to the late Earl and Lamon Robinson. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family. Mrs. Wilburn was a very gifted and meticulous seamstress, she made quilts, dresses and countless other things for her family; she loved to make or sew anything. She was very particular about everything she did including keeping a clean home and of course her cooking which her family loved. A devout Christian her entire life, her membership was with the Maces Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Smith County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Wilburn; great-granddaughter, Clara Jane McKinney; brother, Follis Robinson and sister, Joyce Reneau. She is survived by her children, Anna Givens and husband Bill of Gallatin, David Wilburn of Richmond, KY and Julie Gilliam and husband Don of Hendersonville; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Kathleen Womack and brother, Gordon Robinson. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with Elder Rickey Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens. Mike Watson, Chris Gregory, Greg Martin, Andrew Ping, Rob Cunningham and Dane Olson will serve as active pallbearers. Miles Watson, Britton Watson, Gavin McNeil and Michael Rhys Bingham will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 8th from 4-8 P.M. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
