Mary Taylor

Mary Frances Taylor, age 86, of Gallatin, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 29, 2020. Mary was born in Riddleton, TN in Smith County on October 15, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carsey and Nannie Gregory Porter; two brothers, Eugene Porter and William Lee Porter.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth Taylor; daughters, Lisa (Tom) Phillips and Lori (Ken) Sweat; grandchildren, Barbara (Dave) Hunsicker, Kendall Phillips, and Kate Sweat; one great grandchild, Felicity Hunsicker; and two brothers, Raymond (Joann) Porter and John Porter.

Mary was saved by the grace of God when she was twelve years old. She was concerned her entire life for others who did not know the Lord. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by her family and was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and gardener. She was employed as a book keeper for many years and was respected for her meticulous work. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hendersonville. All who knew her will miss her sweet smile.

A private graveside service for Mary will be held on May 1st. A life celebration at a later date.
