Mary Odetta Brasel

Mary Brasel, age 91, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Mary was born on May 29, 1932, in Haydenberg, Tennessee, to her parents Delbert and Grovie Sisco.

For work, she was a sales associate at Harvey’s Department Store, in Madison, Tennessee, for 25 years. Outside of work, Mary and her Husband, John, were active members in the Church of Christ Community, and would often travel.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mary Odetta (Sisco) Brasel is survived by her son, Nick Brasel (Krista Brasel); daughter, Janie Brasel; grandchildren, Jay Brasel (Valerie Brasel), Jared Brasel (Nora Brasel), Bryson Brasel, Mia Brasel, Megan Shephardson; great grandchildren, Brantley Thigpen, Beau Brasel, Kylie Brasel, Jack Brasel, Sadie Brasel; sister-in-law, Charlene Sisco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John Fowler Brasel; father, Delbert Grant Sisco; mother, Grovie Shady (Witcher) Sisco; and her brothers and sisters.

The funeral service of Mrs. Mary Brasel, will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home.

Visitation with the Brasel Family will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time at, 1:00 P.M..  

Burial in Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow.
