Martha Hightower

HIGHTOWER, Martha Alice Jackson, age 87 of Franklin, beloved aunt and sister, died Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was born February 27, 1922 in Charlotte, TN to the late Vernon and Mattie Hall Jackson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Hightower; brothers, Homer and Frank Jackson; sisters, Bessie Estes and Betty Jean Jackson. She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Cagle of Ashland City, and Peggy Hollandsworth of White Bluff; brother, James Inez Jackson of Nashville; sister-in-law, Lucy Jackson of Ocala, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends in Franklin, Nashville, and Charlotte, TN and Alabama. Active pallbearers are: Mike, Jerry, and Joey Cagle; Mike, Zachery, and Nathan Hamilton; Larry Giles, Robert Bisbee, Mike Hightower, and Alex Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Bisbee and Drake Hamilton. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20th at 11:00 A.M. from West Harpeth Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Couch officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
