Ms. Lula Belle Chandler, age 80, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2021. She was born in Macon County, TN on September 27, 1940 to the late Albert Murphy and Lena Nunley Murphy. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Miederhoff; her ex-husband, Claude Hunter; and two nieces, Patty Heatherly and Gayla Brown.
Lula enjoyed spending time with her family and being the perfect mother. She enjoyed working, doing yard work, cooking and quilting. She was employed with Sumner County Schools for 29 years where she drove a school bus. She was loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed.
Lula is survived by her children, Lisa (Steve) Stringer, Brenda (Chris) Williams, and Jackie Hunter; grandchildren, Brandon Bryant, Michael Stringer, Matthew Stringer, Kasey Bayles, Daniel Bayles, and Kinlee Hunter; twelve great grandchildren, siblings, Clio Cothron, Sam Murphy, Media Graves, and David Murphy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A life celebration will be held at 11am, Tuesday, June 29th in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with burial in Crestview Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Monday evening and again from 10-11am prior to the service on Tuesday.
