Lula Ball

Lula Lee Ball, age 97, passed away January 21, 2021, at her home in Gallatin, Tennessee.  She was born June 22, 1923 in Abingdon, Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her much loved husband of 56 years, John McDermott Ball; son John Michael Ball; parents James V. Lyon and Bonnie K. Lyon; brothers James V. Lyon Sr. and Byrd K. Lyon; and sisters Bonnie Baker, Isabel Johnson and Shirley Prichard.

She is survived by her son Christopher James Ball (Becky) of Knoxville; daughter Lucinda Lee Ball of Gallatin ; daughter Mary Theresa Ball (David Bate Parsons) of Gallatin; grandson Ryan Patrick Ball (Kristyn) of Knoxville; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on March 5, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee.  Interment is at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  Any remembrances can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Our Lady of the Lake, 1729 Stop 30 Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075 or a charity of your choice.
