Loren Leitch

Loren L. Leitch, age 88, of Gallatin passed away on August 15, 2022. He was born in Zion, Illinois on June 11, 1934 to the late Allistair and Katherine Leitch. He is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry Leitch, sister, JoAnn Harvey, and son, Kent Leitch.

Lorry was active in YMCA as a youth; was a life guard on Lake Michigan and saved a young girl from drowning. His story was selected to be in the magazine, Good Old Days, in 2021. He coached is son, Steven in little league baseball and his daughter, Stephanie in soccer. He was an abrasive specialist for Pacific Abrasive and Supply Company and traveled all over the United States. He was well liked by his neighbors and enjoyed his early morning visits o the Civic Center.

Lorry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sheilah; son, Steven Leitch; daughter, Stephanie Checchia; former wife Peggy Gibson; daughter Leah Soverns; son Kevin Leitch; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

A burial liturgy of Loren Leitch will be on Saturday, September 10th at The Church of Our Savior, 704 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin TN 37066; beginning at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be given to the church.
