Linda Vaughn

Linda Marilyn (Adams) Vaughn, age 75, of Gallatin, Tennessee, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, on June 6, 2023. Linda was born on January 18, 1948, to her parents Ben and Nettie Adams, in San Antonio, Texas; she was one of four children. Later in her life, the Adams Family had moved to Niceville, Florida, where she graduated from Niceville High School, in 1966. A year after graduating high school, Linda took the next step in her education and attended Florida State, which she graduated from in the class of 1971. A couple years later, Miss Linda Adams, became Mrs. Linda Vaughn, when she married her husband, Bob, on April 20, 1973. As a mother of three children, Linda completed her education with a Masters Degree, from MTSU in 1995, specializing in special education. Leading her to a career as a preschool special education teacher in Sumner County, for roughly 15 years. She was also a Sunday school teacher, and enjoyed participating in vacation Bible school in the summers. Linda was a follower of Christ, and attended the Community Church of Hendersonville.

Linda, will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and as a woman of faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Linda Marilyn (Adams) Vaughn, is survived by her husband of 50 years, ‘Bob’ Joseph Robert Vaughn, who cherished her; son, Eric Thomas Vaughn (Erin Vaughn); daughters, Holly Vaughn McNeal (Carson McNeal), and Susan Vaughn Trentlege (Dan Trentlege); grandchildren, Austin Standefer, Jude McNeal, Silas McNeal, Norah McNeal, and Lucy Trentlege; sisters, Lola Goldston, Donna Adams; and her brother, Ben Adams (Nancy Adams).

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjiman Lawson Adams; mother, Nettie (Wilson) Adams; and brother in law, Phillip Goldston.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Linda Marilyn (Adams) Vaughn, will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Bro. Doug Varnedo, at Crestview Funeral Home.

Visitation with the Vaughn Family, will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M., at Crestview Funeral Home, and again on Saturday, June 10, 2023, for one hour prior to service time. Burial will take place in Crestview Memory Gardens, immediately following funeral services.
