Linda Kay Gibson, age 67, of Gallatin, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Linda is survived by her daughters; Lori Luree Edwards, Tara Joy Bowman (Thomas Jr.), Penny Lee Wisby (Brian), sons; David Wayne Gibson (Dawn), Kevin Wayne Strickland (Katie), sisters; Margaret Edwards (Lester), Brenda Ruth Wyers (Ron) and brother, Charles Craddock (Connie). Cherished grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Linda was born on March 5, 1949 in Nashville, TN. She worked in retail for over 28 years at SAS Shoe Store.
Although Linda was survived by 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, she was called mom and grandma by countless others. She opened her heart and home to many throughout her amazing life. She loved with all she had and this was her legacy. Linda enjoyed bingo, garage sales and loved her dogs. To know her was to love her and she will be missed by any and all whose lives she touched. On March 12th, 2016, Linda lost her courageous battle to pancreatic cancer. She went "her way", surrounded by people that loved her bigger than life.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin, TN on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM. First visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 12PM - 8PM. Second visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, from 10AM - 2PM, all at the funeral home. Burial to follow service at Crestview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be; Adrain Edwards, Austin Edwards, Darrien Gibson, Tynell House, Anthony Woodard, Shane Dashiell, Hunter Goad and Daronte Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda's nephews.
