Leona James

Leona Catherine Renyer James, age 94 of Hendersonville passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at NHC-Hendersonville. A long time resident of Chase, KA, she was born on June 19, 1914 in Topeka, KA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Farrell Renyer; her sister, Dorothy Renyer Heise and her brothers, Raymond, Leo and Clarence Renyer; her former husband, Claude L. James; two children, Philip L. James and Judith Jeyna James D'Ordine. She is survived by her sister, Florence Renyer Mackey of Anaheim, CA; three children, Richard Joyce James of Ness City, KA, Donald D. Barbara James of Burlington, NC, and John M. Janie James of Yorba Linda, CA; her son-in-law, Frederick D'Ordine of Hendersonville; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Most Rev. David R. Choby officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
