Mr. Larry Porter, age 75, of Bethpage, passed away on February 21, 2021. He was born in Knoxville, TN on November 27, 1945 to the late Eugene and Gaibelle Porter.

Larry loved being outside. Most days, you could find him on his swing trying to feed the animals. He loved all things wildlife; his favorite past times was hunting and fishing. He was employed by AVCO Aerostructures and later Boeing Inc and worked on the international space station in Huntsville, AL. He loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be truly missed.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mrs. Jessie Porter; daughter, Heather Weldon; granddaughter, Mackenzie Weldon; sisters, Bonita (Kevin) Steele and Jeanie (Thomas) Dean; and a host of in laws, nieces, and nephews.

A life celebration will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 27th in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with burial in Crestview Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Friday and again from 10-11am on Saturday.
