Laffell C. Stanford, 93, of Gallatin, passed away on June 15, 2017. She was born on September 27, 1923 in Macon County TN to the late L.F. and Edna Roark Cothron. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stanford; brother, Rossie Cothron; sister, Lena Gregory.

Ms. Stanford is survived by sister, Mary Howell; nephew, Lance Howell (Lynn); nieces, Theresa Howell Stanford (Ed), Yvonne Scott (Fred), Joan Jones (Steve), Shelia Cripps (Lonnie), Debbie Johnson (Chris); and many great nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Gallatin First United Methodist Church. She always loved to go to church and Sunday School. She had a regular routine of visiting nursing homes and assisted living homes after church on Sundays.

She was active in Olympic games such as running, walking, and bowling; and also won many medals and ribbons.

She loved to collect antique glass wear and jewelry in the 1940 era. She loved working outside in her yard and in her flower garden. She lived a full and happy life.
