Mr. Kurt Allen Shoemaker, 75, of Gallatin, passed away on July 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Kurt was born on November 17, 1942 to the late Walter and Olga Shoemaker. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Laura Shoemaker; and one brother, Gary Shoemaker.

Kurt was a member of the Gallatin Gun Club for many years. He was an avid hunter, boater, and trap shooter. He also enjoyed photography. He adored his grandchildren, every year at Christmas he would dress as Santa Clause for the family. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be truly missed.

Kurt is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Donna Bruce Shoemaker; children, Greg (Michelle) Shoemaker, Brian (Jenny) Shoemaker, Eric Shoemaker, and Amy (Jackie) Gann; eight grandchildren; one brother, Paul Shoemaker; and one sister, Ruth Ann Shoemaker.

A life celebration will be held 11am, Monday, July 16 at Crestview Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Sunday and again from 10-11am Monday prior to the service. Burial will be at Crestview Memory Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Crestview Funeral Home; 1623 Hwy 109 N, Gallatin TN 37066.
