Kenneth Ham, age 76, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Kenneth was born on April 13, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee, to his parents Lightning and Rachel Ham. He was raised in West Nashville, and spent most of life there, until he and his wife, Cheryl moved to Gallatin. Kenneth attended Cohn High School, and graduated in the Class of 1965. He also attended Nashville State College.
As a young man, Kenneth Served in the United States Army, and in the Vietnam War. After he returned from the military, he worked with the Metro Government of Nashville; although most of his life he was an automobile salesman. However, he returned to Metro, working in the Criminal Court System until he retired. He loved being with his family whether it was a simple gathering at the house or on family vacations to the beach or mountains. When he wasn’t with family he enjoyed golfing with his friends or watching westerns.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, Gaga, and friend. He was a proud servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Kenneth English Ham is survived by his daughter Jinger Rainwater (Ray Rainwater); step-daughter, Tiffany Toney (Jay Toney); grandchildren, Bryce Rainwater (Skye Rainwater), Courtney Rainwater, Kyle Rainwater, Nick Rainwater (Alison Rainwater); Brittany Toney (Ryan Pope), Kayla Toney (Ariel Toney); great grandchildren, Hickory Rainwater, Lauren Rainwater, Natalie Rainwater, Sam Rainwater, Conner Rainwater, Grayson Pope, Waylon Toney, Waverly Toney; and sister, Kay DeFord.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Cheryl Rae (Kramer) Ham; father, Elijah Hartfull Ham; mother, Rachel English (Dugger) Ham; and step-father, Hubert O. Kemp.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Clarendale of Indian Lake and Aveanna Hospice for the care and compassion given to him and our family.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly request donations to Aveanna Hospice Care.
Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 2:00 P.M., until 4:00 P.M..
The Funeral Mass of Mr. Kenneth Ham will take place 10:00 A.M., on Monday, November 27, 2023, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, located 449 N. Water Ave., Gallatin, TN, 37066. Father Richard Childress will be officiating.
Burial at Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow, including the rendering of Military Funeral Honors.
