Judy Gayle Slate

Judy Slate, age 73, of Lebanon, Tennessee, entered into peace on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. 

Judy was born in Cotton Town, Tennessee, on June 13, 1950, to her parents George and Sarah Bennett. 

First and foremost, Judy was a God fearing woman. She attended Free Indeed Fellowship Church, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Judy worked as a hairdresser, specifically as a perm specialist for 30 years before she retired. 

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her beautiful soul will be dearly missed. 

Judy (Bennett) Slate, is survived by her husband of 41 years, Allen Slate; granddaughters, Lensie Banks, Brianna Lynn Smith; and nephews, Mike Ford, and Brian Ford. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Banks; father, George B. Bennett Jr.; mother, Sarah Ann (Palmer) Bennett; brother, Wayne Bennett; and sister, Dorothy Lee Steelman. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at Crestview Funeral Home, on Monday, February 5, 2024. Visitation with the family of Mrs. Judy Slate will be from 10:00 A.M., until time of her funeral service at 1:00 P.M.. Bro. James Mallard and Bro. Joel Mallard will be officiating services.
