Judy Crain, age 75 of Gallatin, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 17, 2018. Mrs. Crain was born on January 18, 1943 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the late Wilma Adams. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first; she loved people and never met a stranger. Her kids describe her as a "true homemaker" as she loved to decorate her home and the homes of others; always re-decorating and sometimes even repainting hers for each season. She was a native of Lincoln County but grew up in East Nashville and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Brandon Aday and Ashley Shoemake; and her brother, Roger Adams. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, James J. Crain; children, Tammy Camp (David), William Ron Shoemake, Jr., Tim Shoemake (Carolyn), and Shannon Wade; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Debbie Edgen. A Life Celebration Service honoring Judy will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with Elder Joe Porter officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Josh Shoemake, Brad Kidd, Will Shoemake, Mason Shoemake, and Justin Shoemake serving as active pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or American Heart Association.
