Joseph Rice, Sr.

RICE, Joseph A. Sr. - Age 77 years, of Nashville, passed away March 28, 2012, of Parkinson's at the Alive Hospice. Survived by devoted wife of 50 years, Nancy Dwyer Rice; loving daughters, Laura Rice, of Florida, and Jennifer Rice, of Nashville. "He was the best day in the whole wide world". Also survived by sister, Marilyn Doyle, of California; brother, Phil Rice, of Rhode Island. He is preceded in death by son, Joey Rice, Jr., and parents, Nell and Phil Rice. He received his pilot's license at the age of 50, and his B.A. at Cornell University and his Masters at Western New England. Visitation is Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10am, followed by a Mass at 11am at St Henry Church Chapel, 6401 Harding Road with The Reverend Steve Wolf, Celebrant.
