Joost Koenig, 93, from White House, Tennessee, graduated from this life to the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ on March 11, 2018.

Joost was born December 10, 1924 in The Hague, Netherlands to the late Menko Ludwig and Henriette Koenig. He is also preceded in death by one daughter, Heidi Lynn Koenig and two brothers; Menko Koenig and Adriaan Koenig.

Joost spent his growing up years in both the Netherlands and Switzerland. His loves included skiing, ham radio, travelling, and learning. He spoke five languages fluently. Joost served in the Dutch Air Force and is a World War II veteran.

He married the love of his life, Joan Opal Blackman, on August 30, 1958. They were married for nearly 60 years. He loved his family and was a faithful and amazing husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.

He is survived by his wife Joan Opal Koenig; children Rebecca Runyan (Jeff) and Eric Joost Koenig (Paula); grandchildren Nichole Campbell (Levi), Sarah Koenig, and Matthew Koenig; great granddaughter Emma Campbell; sister Jeanette Vonck; nieces Grace DeHaas (Mick), Irene Vonck, and nephews Menko Koenig and Fred Vonck.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Crestview Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.
