Johnny Brewington "Johnny B" a native of Hendersonville, TN, Born July 28, 1943, passed away April 17, 2011. A loving Father and True Friend. Johnny graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1961 where he excelled in football and basketball. He became a Union Iron Worker Local #492, Nashville, TN in 1963 and retired as a life time member. Johnny and his brother Doc "Tiger" Brewington helped build Hendersonville homes of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Barbara Mandrell, Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Robbins, and Ferlin Husky. They also built the race cars of Charlie Binkley and Darrel Waltrip in the early 70's. Johnny was an avid bass fisherman and fished with Jack Ingram, Billy Westmoreland, Sonny Stults, Flipper and hundreds of other friends and family. Johnny never met a stranger and never had an enemy. He found god 20 years ago and read the bible every night up till his death. Johnny will never be forgotten thru his many friends and family. Preceded in death by parents James F. Brewington and Nina Burgess Brewington, Brothers Doc and Denny Brewington, Sister Willene Brewington Mitchell. Survived by son Rocky Brewington and wife, Sunny Brewington, Brother Charles "Ellis" Brewington and wife Yvonne, Sister Irene Brewington Boissonneau, nephews Mike Brewington, Donnie Brewington and wife Brenda, Ricky Mitchell, Michael Brewington, nieces Cindy and Lisa Brewington. Services will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Thursday April 21 at 10:00a.. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, from 4-8pm.
