Johnnie Hood

Johnnie Melvin Hood, born in Maryville, Tennessee on January 11, 1947, and passed away on June 8, 2023.  He was the son of Marvin and Catherine Hood.  He served in the U.S. Army where he volunteered for two terms in Vietnam.  He won many medals including the purple heart.  He was a member of General Baptist Church in Madison.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 16 years, Mary Hood of Hendersonville.  He is also survived by his two sisters; step-children, Donnie (Kay) Drayton and Debra Osborne; grandchildren, Rachel (Jarrod) Meredith, Sarah (Mikil) Taylor, Mary Emma Drayton, Tommy Warren, Ray Osborne; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lucy, Lily, Bennett, Mason, Myrina, Chanel, Scarlett, Noel, Grace Lily, Carlie, and Wesley.  Johnnie was the owner of Bellshire Pizza for 30 years, and considered his customers extended family.  Johnnie loved playing country music on his guitar.  Visitation will be at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin on Thursday June 15 from 11am until the service at 1pm with interment to follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.
