Mr. John D. Harper, 80, passed away on September 24, 2017. He was born in Hartsville, TN on September 1, 1937 to the late Buck and Mable Harper. He is also preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Jeff Harper; four brothers, Kenneth, Bratton, Bobby, and Ferris Harper; and one grandson, John Owen Fipps.

Mr. Harper is survived by his wife, Conelia Thompson Harper; son, Greg Harper (Debbie); daughter, Angela Fipps (Kevin); four brothers, Carroll Harper, Wayne Harper (Mickey), Glenn Harper, and Travis Harper; and one granddaughter, Jillian Fipps.

A life celebration will be held 2pm, Tuesday, September 26 at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Family will receive friends from 10am until service time. Burial will be at Willow Grove Cemetery in Hartsville, TN.

In Lieu of flower donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
