CARMACK, John Montgomery was born in Kingsport, TN on April 4, 1979. He grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee and graduated from Hendersonville High School. He excelled in football and soccer as well as loved the outdoors and hunting. After high school, John graduated from Maryville College with a bachelor of science degree. While at Maryville College, he played on the men's collegiate soccer team. He also obtained a degree in civil engineering from Tennessee Tech University and received his masters degree in environmental engineering from the University of Tennessee. John resided in Savannah, GA and worked as an engineer for the City of Bluffton, South Carolina. John passed away on June 28, 2011. He is survived by his parents, Dr. James and Judy Carmack, his grandmothers Louise Carmack and Leona Rollman, his sister Jaime Tim Drown, his brother Joseph Jamie Carmack and his nephew Anson Drown. John was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 4p.m.-8p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Gaia officiating. Active pallbearers will be Tim Drown, Adam Hart, Adam Bruns, Jeremy Willis, Ryan Moriarty, and Jeff Cundiff. Honary pallbears will be Hunter Bowers, Chris Cagle, Gary Melton, Matt Menzel, Luke Pressley, Nick Glaser, Drew Ermencs, Chip Gaia and Mitch Probasco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following organizations: Hendersonville High School Soccer Team www.hendersonvillesoccer.com, Hendersonville High School Football Team www.hendersonvillefootball.com or Lindsey's Place www.lindseysplace.org.
