Mr. John Nelson Alexander, 86, of Gallatin, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 30, 1930 to the late Nelson and Sarah Elizabeth Alexander.

John, also known as Blue, spent a majority of his time bowling in the Wednesday Senior Bowling League. When he wasn't bowling, you could find him on the lake fishing. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Pike Alexander for 63 years. They loved traveling together, especially Hawaii, Bahamas, Vegas and Alaska; where they did live for many years. He was a member of Lambuth United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed.

Blue is survived by his wife, Betty Alexander; daughters, Vicky Marie Sexton (Mike), Lynn Palazzotto (Vinnie), and Cathy Alexander; sister, Jenny Alexander; brother, Jimmy Alexander; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held 2pm Wednesday, August 9th at Crestview Funeral Home and Memory Gardens with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 12-2pm prior to the service.
