Joe Steele

Joe Edward Steele, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, at the age of 78. Joe is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Yvonne (Wilkins) Steele, parents, Roy and Wavie (Jones) Steele. Brothers; Roy Steele Jr., Jenk Steele and Howard Steele. Sisters; Pearlie Turner and Louise Trevathan.
Joe is survived by his children; Debra Pettibone, Bobby Joe (Felicia) Steele, Ronnie (Sherry) Steele, Sharon (Steven) Ward and Anthony (Chris Ann Dickey) Steele. Grandchildren; Renee' Steele, Chris Steele, Rachel Pettibone, Amanda Steele, Austin Pettibone, Michael Ward, Joe Ward and great-grandchild, Ainslee Marie Sayar. Joe is also survived by his sisters; Sylvia Graves and Virginia Pipla, along with many other extended family and friends.
Joe was self-employed as a mason and worked on many projects in the Hendersonville and surrounding areas. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter, and loved fishing. Joe was a NASCAR fan with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his favorite driver. Joe had a clever sense of humor and excelled at everything he did. He was a humble, religious man, with strong family values. Joe will be dearly missed by his family and by all those that knew him.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2016, at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, to be held at Crestview Funeral Home, 1623 Hwy. 109 North, Gallatin, TN, 37066
