James E. Murray, age 73 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009. Mr. Murray was the owner of Murray Machine and Tool Company Inc. He had been a citizen of Gallatin for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Myrtle Murray; daughter, Yvonne Adale Murray. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Murray; daughter, Lorinda K. Scruggs; grandson, James Dylan all of Gallatin; aunts, Imogene Bearden of Lebanon, Dorris Redfern of White Plains; uncle, Mitchell Givens of Nashville. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Reese officiating. Interment will follow in the Gallatin Memory Gardens at Crestview where Mike Deering, Butch Groves, Jason Allen, Ray Comer, Johnny Jones, and Russell Reeves will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rondell Pulley and Danny Sanders.
