MARRISON, Jr. James W. Age 83 went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on August 17, 2010 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Marrison, Sr. Edith Adams; brother, John W. Marrison. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ruby Glenn Marrison; brother, William A. Marrison Carol. Mr. Marrison was a graduate of the Nashville School of Law and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association. He was a veteran of WWII, The Korean War, and retiree from the Coast Guard with the rank of Storekeeper First Class. His career was at the Veterans Administration as a Rating Specialist where he retired. As an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Paul Webb Sunday School class, he was a devoted husband who loved God's Word. He read the Bible thru every year since his retirement and has memorized much of it. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Thursday at Bellevue Baptist Church 7400 Hwy 70 S, Nashville, TN, 37221 with Dr. Mike Shelton and Rev. Bob Mowrey officiating. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ralph Marrison, Dean Reardon, Irvin Lewis, Tom Bianconi, Don Hale, William Marrison, Gene Turner, and Rufus Brewer. Honorary Pallbearer will be the Paul Web Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Wednesday 2:00pm – 8:00pm at Harpeth Hills and Thursday one hour prior to service at the Church.
