Mr. James Clayton Johnson, age 81, of Gallatin, passed away on January 14, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1940 to the late James Garland Johnson and Myrtle Tackett Johnson.

Clayton adored his family, and spent as much time with them as possible. He was a Vietnam Veteran and also retired from TVA as an Instrument Mechanic Forman. He also enjoyed traveling. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be truly missed.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Betty Johnson; children, Kim (Gary) Maxey and Neal (Nancy) Johnson; grandchildren, Justin Maxey, Kelly (Matt) Maxey Sloan, Haley Beth Johnson, and Sara Ann Johnson; and sisters, Wanda (Donald) Dreher and Linda (Gary) Johnson.

A life celebration will be held at 3pm, Saturday, January 16th in the chapel of Crestview Funeral Home with burial at Sumner Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12pm-3pm Saturday prior to the service.
