We want to thank you for coming today to celebrate and remember the life of our Mom and Granny, Faye Jones. These times are never easy, but your love, support, and prayers are felt and have helped us through.

Faye was born to Clarence and Vivian Keeton on December 30, 1935 in Waynesboro, TN. She had 1 sister, Joyce Ann, who died as an infant, and 6 brothers, James, Gene, Johnny, Bobby, David and Ronnie. Her remaining brothers are Gene and Ronnie, along with a bunch of nieces, nephews, and such. She moved often growing up but graduated from Hohenwald High School where she was Homecoming Queen her senior year.

Faye has 3 children, Alvin (Cathy), Debbie and Andy. She has five grandchildren, Brooke, Adam (Ashley), Matthew (Lindsay), Jonathan, and Hannah and two great grandchildren, Aidyn and Avery.

We have a lifetime of wonderful memories. She made Christmas magical, Thanksgiving dinners that looked like they should grace the cover of Southern Living, and made us feel special on our birthdays with the birthday cake and dinner of our choice. She taught us the importance of family by cooking Sunday dinner every week! We gathered, ate, played croquet, badminton, cards, watched whatever game might be on TV, but what mattered is that we were all together in her little house on Strasser Drive. As the grandkids came along, her yard looked like a daycare with a swing set, kiddie pool, balls and bats, a driveway full of big wheels and whatever toys she had just scored at the latest yard sale. Granny made Friday night sleepovers fun even though she had worked a long week at the post office. She could get pretty creative with the batch of active grandkids. You might see them running around and around the house because she would pay them a penny a lap or painting the driveway with water.

We have our precious memories of our Mom/Granny and you might have yours. You may be the recipient of her generosity, laughter, and mischief. You may have enjoyed her passion for flowers, birds, and butterflies which was why she would say she would rather be outside than inside.

In recent years, you would find her working on her puzzles or reading when the weather didn't allow her outside with her beautiful flowers.

We loved her dearly and she loved us dearly and as she said, "I have had a good life."
