Evelyn Wood

WOOD Evelyn Green "Ardelle "passed away on October 4, 2008. Mrs. Wood worked for the Metro school system for 35 years where in 1968 she was teacher of the year. She has a bachelor and masters degree in elementary education from George Peabody College for Teachers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Wood. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Terri Wood Randy Jerkins and Karen Wood Mike Anderson; grandchildren, Jeremy, Lucas, Alex, Jessie and Jill Jerkins, Chris and Katie Anderson; sisters, Marjorie Cassell and Bonnie Strickland; brother, Haney Green. Funeral services will be on Tuesday October 7, 2008 at 11:30 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Josh Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made Nashville Christian School 2555 Sawyer Brown Rd. Nashville, TN. 37221. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 pm at the HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME, 9090 HWY 100, 615 646-9292.
