Edie P. Austin

Edith “Edie” Pearl Austin, age 92, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama entered peace on April 2, 2024.

She was born on February 10, 1932, in Monroe County, Arkansas, to her parents Josh and Pearl Bradley.  During her life she was a homemaker who loved to decorate and garden.  She enjoyed talking with friends and family.

Edie Austin is survived by her stepdaughters, Rosanne (Benjamin) Thurman, Brinda Smith; granddaughter, Kimberly (Brian) Knight,Emily (Chip) Gray, September (Rob) Giles; great grandsons, Rick Carter, Nick Carter and Kolton Knight; sisters, June Thompson and Roy (Charlotte) Bradley and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Josh Earl Bradley; mother, Pearl Leona (Taylor) Bradley; her husband, Barry Austin, her children Brenda Patterson and Larry J. Ambrose, brothers, Earl J Bradley, Leon Bradley, Charles Bradley and sisters, Mary Motts and Frances Brown.

The funeral service in honor of Edie Austin will take place at Crestview Funeral Home on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with burial to follow in Sumner Memorial  Gardens.
