Duol Tut Wal

On April 18th, 1990, Duol Tut Wal drew his first breath on this earth, in Gambella in the country of Ethiopia, born to his late father, Tut Wal Buay Deng, and his mother, Nyahon Nyuon. Duol entered eternal rest on October 25th, 2023, at the age of 33. He is survived by his loving mother, Nyahon Ruey Nyuon, and his admirable brothers: Goaner Tut, Wal Tut,Buay Tut, Yangreek Tut, and Ban Tut.

Much like his late father, Duol will always be remembered as a passionate, thoughtful, strong and family oriented individual. He valued the time he spent with the people he loved most. He can be described as charming, charismatic, protective and always having the ability to woo you in a way no one else could. There has never been a doubt about Duol’s morals, as he always made them crystal clear, those being, loyalty, honesty, hardwork, and mutual respect. Let us emphasize this as we remember his time here on earth, forever fueling us on a daily basis, as we honor his livelihood.

Growing up in Gallatin, Tennessee, Duol went to Rucker Stewart Middle School. He then went on to graduate from McGavock High School in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2010. In 2012he encountered difficulties that ultimately led to his incarceration while he was fairly young. During his time there he heavily reflected on and atoned his actions. Duol liked to work out, play basketball, watch movies, and his favorite thing, hanging out with his family. He took the time to check on his family, nieces and nephews as he valued their relationship dearly.

Duol was devoted to love, showing it in any way he could to his family and friends, and it is asked that we show him the same love as we lay his physical body to rest and continue to love his spirit, for he is always with us (Psalm 23:4)
