Dorothy Rial

East Peoria – Dorothy Deal Rial, 84, of East Peoria passed away at 7:18 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Feb. 24, 1927 in Nashville, TN to Frank G. and Dollie Jones Deal. She married David R. Rial on Aug. 9, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Odell Bennett, Beatrice DeBennidito; and three brothers, James E. Hay, Houston Hay, and Virgil Thomas Deal.
Surviving are her sister, Betty and John Beasley of Franklin, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy received her BS Degree from Austin Peay University and her Master's Degree from Peabody College for Teachers at Vanderbilt University. She taught school in the East Peoria School District for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Paris Avenue Church of Christ in Peoria for over 55 years.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Further Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home in Nashville, TN. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, TN.
