Donna Kaye Johnson

Donna Kaye Johnson, age 63, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

She was born on September 11, 1959, to her parents Everett and Jane Brewer, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Donna worked for many years with Teddy Bear Portraits, taking school pictures. She was a wife, mother to three, and grandmother to five who was known to take care of everyone, and was happy to do so. She also enjoyed spending time playing with her grandchildren.  Donna was married for 42 years to her husband, Larry Johnson Sr..

Most of All, Donna loved Jesus Christ. Donna embodied her faith with her kindness for others and was enthusiastic to worship the Lord singing gospel music.  

Donna will be remembered for her irreplaceable love and care for her family, and will be missed dearly.

Donna Kaye (Brewer) Johnson, is survived by her husband, Larry Johnson Sr.; sons, Larry Johnson Jr. (Courtney Johnson) and Matthew Johnson; daughter, Beth Cannon; mother, Jane Brewer; grandchildren, Radlee Johnson, Norah Johnson, Lucie Johnson, Katie Cannon, and Jon Cannon; sister, Cynthia Keller; brother, Steven Brewer (Debbie Brewer); nieces, Kelsey Carrigan, Alexis Brewer, Jennifer Teasley, Tala Teasley, and Mary Teasley; and her nephews, Brandon Brewer, Bentley Brewer, Jaxson Brewer, and Thomas Teasley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Brewer; and her brother, Earl Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, the Johnson family kindly requests that donations be made to the charity of Donna’s choice, Autism Speaks.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Donna Johnson, will be at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Gallatin, located 239 N Boyers Ave, Gallatin, TN 37066.  Bro. Phil Wilson will be officiating services.
