Donald Davids

Donald (Don) Frederick Davids, born on January 15, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, New York, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024 at the age of 80. He was a beloved member of the Gallatin, Tennessee community for the past 30 years.

Don was known for his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit as the owner of a cherished local meat and produce store. Don’s store was more than a business; it was a gathering place for local residents to fine unique products as well as chat with Don about the weather and politics. The store was his pride and joy, a place where he poured out his heart and soul. It was not just his livelihood but also his favorite place to be, where he found purpose and joy in serving his community.

He is survived by his loving partner of 17 years, Evelyn Dickens, Daughter Audra Pike (Robbie) and son Jeffrey Davids. Chosen family Gregory Dickens (Nadia) who were like a son and daughter to him. Tyler Dickens (Moriah) and Ryan Dickens whom he treated and cared for like his own grandchildren.

Don’s impact on those around him will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
